UXPin

A prototyping tool for testing complex, interactive screens that behave like the finished application.
UXPin is an online design and prototyping tool. A prototype is a clickable mock-up of a website or app, so you can try it out before the real thing is built.
Most design tools produce pictures of screens linked together. UXPin goes further and lets designers build prototypes that react like the real product. A form can show an error, a menu can open, and a dashboard can change depending on what you choose. That makes it useful for applications with lots of logic, like portals and booking tools.
UXPin offers a free plan and several paid ones. For a simple marketing site it’s usually more than you need, and a standard design file does the job. It earns its keep when testing how an app works matters before development starts.
Why UXPin Is in Our Stack
In Practice
UXPin is in our toolbox for custom applications where behavior is hard to judge from still pictures, such as multi-step forms or dashboards. For most websites, a simpler design file is the better call.
Try Before You Build
You click through a working model of the app before development.
Tests Real Behavior
Forms, menus and dashboards react the way the finished product will.
Catches Problems Early
Spotting a confusing step in a prototype costs far less than fixing live code.
