Stack Mode proposal
A city's dining guide, built as a platform restaurants subscribe to.
Reno Restaurant Guide is a full platform, not a listings page: a public directory diners actually use, a dashboard owners run their listing from, and an admin manager that runs the business behind it.

This is an example. It is built from the scope of Reno Restaurant Guide, a real Stack Mode project, using what we publish about it in its case study. Your proposal is written for your project.
The goal
The guide needed to be useful enough that diners come back, and valuable enough that restaurants pay to be on it. That meant real-time search, rich listing pages, self-service owner tools, subscription billing and an operator back office, all built to expand to more cities.
What done looks like: A subscription business with free and paid listing tiers, Stripe billing and background jobs that keep it running, ready to grow into new cities.

- Connected apps: public directory, owner dashboard, admin manager
- 4
- Listing tiers, from free to premier
- 15
- Neighborhoods covered
The approach
We built three connected experiences on one codebase. Diners get faceted search by cuisine, vibe, neighborhood, price and features, plus a timezone-aware Open Now filter and maps. Owners get a Listing Manager to edit their listing, media and menus and manage billing. The operators get an Admin Manager with bulk listing tools, a sales pipeline, tier configuration, email templates and reporting.
The public directory
Diners
- Faceted search. Browse by cuisine, vibe, neighborhood, price and features, with a timezone-aware Open Now filter.
- Rich listing pages. Photo carousels, video, hours, menus and social links, unlocked by tier.
The Listing Manager
Restaurant owners
- Owner Listing Manager. Restaurants edit their own listing, media and menus and manage billing themselves.
The Admin Manager
The operators
- Admin Manager. Bulk listing tools, owners, a sales pipeline, tiers, taxonomies, email templates and reports.
- Subscription billing. Tiered plans with monthly and annual billing through Stripe.
- Built to scale. Background jobs, maps and a structure designed to add more cities.
