Branding

What is Brand Guidelines?

Also called: brand book, style guide

Brand guidelines are a rulebook for your logo, colors, fonts and tone, so every ad, page and printed piece looks and sounds like the same company.

Brand guidelines are a document that records how your brand looks and sounds. They usually cover your logo and how much space it needs, your colors, your fonts, how photos should look, and the tone you use when you write.

They matter because your business is touched by many people: staff, freelancers, printers, ad agencies and web developers. Without a shared rulebook, each one guesses, and your brand slowly drifts into a patchwork. Consistency makes a business look established and trustworthy.

Good guidelines are practical, not decorative. They answer everyday questions like which logo to use on a dark background or how to write a headline. We build guidelines as part of branding projects and carry the same rules into your website, so everything lines up.

Example
A new office manager can open the guidelines and see exactly which logo file and which blue to use on the trade show banner.
