What is ACF Pro?
ACF Pro, in plain English.
ACF Pro is the paid version of Advanced Custom Fields, a WordPress plugin that adds your own input fields to the page editor. Instead of one big text box, your team gets clear fields for things like price, address, team member role or opening hours.
It is used to build sites with structured content: property listings, staff directories, event calendars, service pages. The plugin comes from WP Engine and runs on more than two million WordPress sites. A free version exists. Pro adds repeatable fields, flexible layouts, galleries and custom settings pages, which is what bigger projects tend to need.
ACF stores the information, and your site's design decides how it looks. That means one entry can show up in several places, and staff can update it without touching the layout. It sits between WordPress and whatever builds your pages.
