What is GeneratePress?
GeneratePress, in plain English.
GeneratePress is a WordPress theme, the part of a site that controls its basic look and layout. It is known for being lightweight: it ships with little code of its own, so pages load quickly and there is less to go wrong.
You can use the free version from the WordPress directory, which has more than 500,000 active installs, or buy the paid add-ons for extra layout and design options. Its makers also offer GenerateBlocks, a companion tool for building page sections inside the standard WordPress editor.
Unlike Bricks or Oxygen, GeneratePress is not a complete visual builder. It is a clean base you shape with settings and blocks. That suits blogs, smaller business sites and shops where speed and stability matter more than a heavily custom design.

Why we use GeneratePress.
GeneratePress is a theme we respect. It's a good fit when a site needs speed, simplicity and a low maintenance load more than a fully custom layout. For custom-designed sites, we choose Bricks.
Quick to Load
Very little built-in code keeps pages light, which visitors and search engines reward.
Stable Base
A simple, well-used theme means fewer surprises when WordPress updates.
Free to Start
A free version is available, with optional paid add-ons as you grow.
