What is CMS?
Also called: Content Management System
A CMS is the tool that lets you edit your website's text, images and pages yourself, without writing code or calling a developer.
A content management system, or CMS, is software for creating and updating website content. You log in, change a headline, add a blog post or swap a photo, and publish it. The CMS handles the technical work of turning that edit into a live page.
WordPress is the best-known example, and there are many others. The right one depends on who will edit the site, how often, and what else the site must do. A good setup gives your team the freedom to make routine changes safely without breaking the design.
The difference between a CMS you enjoy and one you dread usually comes down to how it was built. Clear editing screens, sensible fields and limits on what can be changed keep the site consistent. We set up content editing around the people who will actually use it.
Example
Your office manager adds a new team member to the About page in minutes by filling in a form in the CMS.
