What is Adobe Photoshop?
Adobe Photoshop, in plain English.
Adobe Photoshop is a program for editing photos and other image-based artwork. Unlike Illustrator, which draws with lines and shapes, Photoshop works with pixels, which makes it the tool for photographs.
Typical jobs include brightening a dull photo, removing a distracting object, combining several images into one, or cropping a picture to fit a banner. Newer versions also include AI features from Adobe, such as filling in or extending parts of an image from a short text prompt.
Photoshop is sold by Adobe on a subscription. It's a design tool, not part of your site. What visitors see is the result: clean, well-sized photos that load quickly. Good images matter, since they are often the first thing people notice and a big part of how fast a page loads.

Why we use Adobe Photoshop.
We use Photoshop when a client's photos need real retouching, compositing or careful cropping before they go on the site. Getting the image right and the file size small helps both how the page looks and how fast it loads.
Polished Photos
Brightening, cropping and cleanup make ordinary photos look professional.
Right Size for the Web
Images are prepared so pages stay fast on phones.
Fixes Problem Images
Distracting objects and awkward crops can be corrected without a reshoot.
