What is Font Hero?
Font Hero, in plain English.
Font Hero is a WordPress plugin from DPlugins that serves your website's fonts from your own server instead of from an outside company. Fonts are the typefaces that give a site its look, and where they load from affects both speed and privacy.
With Font Hero, you can point it at a folder of font files on your server. It reads the files, works out the families, weights and styles, and imports the ones you choose. It also works with Bricks, the page builder we use, so the fonts you add are ready when we design.
Self-hosting matters for your visitors too. No request goes to another company's servers just to draw your headings, which tends to keep pages quicker and keeps visitor data on your own site. It also means your brand fonts keep loading the same way no matter what happens to a third-party service.
