What is Google Analytics?
Google Analytics, in plain English.
Google Analytics is a free tool from Google that counts and describes the visitors to your website. It shows how many people came, which pages they read, how they found you, and whether they took an action you care about, like sending a form.
Business owners use it to answer plain questions. Which marketing is bringing in real leads? Which pages lose people? Is the new landing page working better than the old one? Google says it also connects to Google Ads and Search Console, so your advertising and search data can sit alongside your site data.
It works by adding a small piece of tracking code to your site. Because it is the most widely used analytics tool, your team, your agency and your ad platforms probably already know it. The tradeoff is that your visitor data is held by Google, which matters if privacy is a priority for your business.
