What is Meta Pixel?
Meta Pixel, in plain English.
The Meta Pixel is a small piece of code, made by Meta (the company behind Facebook and Instagram), that you add to your website. It reports back what visitors do there: view a page, add an item to a cart, send a form or buy something.
Advertisers use it in three main ways. It shows which ads lead to real results, not just clicks. It helps Meta show your ads to people more likely to act. And it lets you build audiences, such as people who visited a service page but did not enquire, so you can advertise to them again or find people similar to your customers.
You only need it if you advertise on Facebook or Instagram. Because it shares visitor activity with Meta, it belongs in your privacy policy and should respect cookie consent choices. It can be installed through Google Tag Manager, which makes it easy to switch on or off.

Why we use Meta Pixel.
We install the Meta Pixel for clients who run Facebook and Instagram ads, and we check that each event fires correctly using Meta's own Pixel Helper tool. Good tracking is what lets those campaigns improve over time instead of guessing.
