What is Site24x7?
Site24x7, in plain English.
Site24x7 is a monitoring platform that watches websites, servers, networks, cloud services and applications from one dashboard. Monitoring means automated checks that run all day and warn you when something fails or slows down.
It is made by Zoho Corp's ManageEngine division, and its site describes it as an observability platform for IT and DevOps teams. It can test websites and APIs, watch Windows and Linux servers, Docker and Kubernetes containers, and cloud accounts on AWS, Azure and Google Cloud. It also measures real visitors' experience and runs multi-step test journeys, such as logging in and checking out.
That depth suits companies with plenty of infrastructure and an IT team to use it. For a typical small business website it is more than you need, and a simpler uptime tool does the job.

Why we use Site24x7.
Site24x7 is the heavier option we keep for custom applications and larger systems, where servers, databases and APIs need watching, not just the public website. For a standard business site, we choose a lighter tool.
Whole-System View
Websites, servers and cloud services are watched from one place.
Test Real Journeys
Scripted checks walk through logins and checkouts to prove they still work.
Room to Grow
Add servers and applications to monitoring as your system grows.
