Vercel is a cloud hosting platform for modern web applications. It takes the code your developers write and turns it into a live website or app, served quickly to visitors wherever they are.
It connects to your code on GitHub, so every time a developer saves a change, Vercel builds a private preview link you can open and click through. Nothing reaches your customers until it has been checked and approved. If something does go wrong after launch, an earlier version can be restored without rebuilding.
Vercel also handles the unglamorous work around a launch: your custom domain, security certificates, caching copies of pages close to visitors, and extra capacity when traffic spikes.
