What is Strapi?
Strapi, in plain English.
Strapi is an open source headless CMS (content management system). "Headless" means it holds your content and gives your team a place to edit it, but a separate website or app is what displays it to visitors.
With Strapi, a developer defines the kinds of content your business has, such as events, team members or products. Strapi then creates the editing screens and the connections (called APIs) that let websites and mobile apps fetch that content. Your staff just fill in forms, and the same entries can appear on a website, an app or both.
You can run Strapi on your own servers, or pay Strapi Cloud to host it for you. The core software is MIT licensed, which means it's free to use. It tends to pair with modern JavaScript sites built with tools like Next.js.

Why we use Strapi.
Strapi is in our toolbox for projects where the content needs a custom structure and the front end is a modern JavaScript site. It's a strong option when a client wants to host the content system themselves.

Your content types are built around how your business actually works.
No License Fee

Use It Anywhere
