What is Directus?
Directus, in plain English.
Directus is a headless content management system built around your database. "Headless" means it stores and manages your content but doesn't build your web pages. A separate website or app asks Directus for the content and shows it to visitors.
Your team gets an admin area for editing content, uploading files and deciding who can see what. Behind the scenes, Directus creates the connections (called APIs) that let websites, mobile apps and other software read the same information. That makes it a fit for client portals, directories, internal tools and custom applications where the data matters as much as the pages.
You can run it on your own server or have Directus host it. Its free core tier needs no license, while higher limits and extra features require a paid one. We'd look at your project first and tell you which route makes sense.

Why we use Directus.
Directus is in our toolbox for custom applications where the data is the heart of the project. It earns its place when a client already has a database, or needs one that several apps and sites can share.
Works With Your Data
It sits on top of a database you control instead of locking your information inside it.
Friendly for Your Team
Staff edit content and manage files in a clean admin area, no code needed.
One Source, Many Places
The same content can feed a website, a mobile app and other software.
