What is SureCart?
SureCart, in plain English.
SureCart is an online store for WordPress that works in two parts. A plugin on your website shows the products and checkout pages, while SureCart's own cloud service handles payments, subscriptions and taxes behind the scenes.
That split is the main difference from a store like WooCommerce, which does all of that work on your own server. With SureCart, your website has less to carry, and the sensitive payment work happens elsewhere. You can sell digital downloads, subscriptions, physical products, services and donations, and take payments through Stripe, PayPal and other providers.
The trade-off is that the store depends on a SureCart account as well as your website. For many small businesses, a simpler setup that keeps pages quick is worth that.
