What is Back End?
Also called: backend, server side
The back end is the part of a website or app that runs out of sight: the database, the logic and the servers that make everything work.
Every website has two sides. The front end is what visitors see and click. The back end is everything behind it: the server, the database, the user accounts, the payment handling and the rules that decide what happens when someone submits a form.
On a simple brochure site, the back end can be very small. On a client portal, an online store or a booking system, it is where most of the value lives. It stores the data, checks who is allowed to see what, and talks to other systems like your payment processor or CRM.
A well-built back end is fast, secure and easy to change as your business changes. A weak one shows up as slow pages, lost orders and features that are painful to add. We build back ends that keep your data safe and can grow with you.
Example
When a customer logs in to see their invoices, the back end checks their password and loads only their invoices from the database.
