What is Front End?
Also called: frontend, client side
The front end is everything a visitor sees and uses on a website: layout, text, buttons, forms and animation, as shown in their browser.
The front end is the part of a website that runs in the visitor's browser. It includes the layout, colors, text, images, menus, forms and interactive features. If you can see it or click it, it is the front end.
It is where design meets code, and it has a direct impact on sales. A well-built front end loads quickly, works on every screen size, can be used with a keyboard and screen reader, and guides people toward action. A poor one frustrates visitors no matter how good the product is.
The front end relies on the back end for data and logic, so the two have to be designed together. Modern front ends are often built with a JavaScript framework like React or Next.js. We build front ends that are fast, accessible and easy to maintain.
Example
The menu that opens when a visitor taps the phone icon, and the form they fill out, are both part of the front end.
