What is Google Ads?
Also called: AdWords, search ads
Google Ads lets you pay to appear at the top of Google results when people search for what you sell, so you reach customers ready to act.
Google Ads is Google's advertising platform. The best-known type is search ads, which appear above or below regular results when someone types a matching search. You bid on keywords, write the ad and choose where the click goes. Other formats include display, video and local service ads.
Its strength is intent. People searching for 'emergency plumber near me' want help now. You pay when someone clicks (for search campaigns), so a well-run account can bring leads quickly, unlike SEO, which takes longer to build. The two work well together.
Google Ads also punishes sloppy setups. Broad keywords, weak landing pages and missing tracking can burn budget on clicks that never convert. We build campaigns around your most valuable searches, set up conversion tracking from day one and review results regularly.
Example
A Reno HVAC company bids on 'AC repair Reno' so its ad shows up when a homeowner's air conditioner stops working.
