Hosting and Security
What is Malware?
Malware is malicious software that can infect your website or computers, steal data, send spam or damage your search reputation.
Malware is software designed to cause harm. On a website, it might inject hidden links, redirect visitors to scam pages, steal customer information, send spam from your server or turn your site into a launching point for other attacks.
The damage goes beyond the technical. Google can flag an infected site with a warning that scares away visitors, and rankings can drop. Cleaning up takes time, and customers may lose trust. The most common entry points are outdated software, weak passwords and untrusted plugins.
Prevention is far cheaper than cleanup. That means keeping software updated, limiting who has access, using strong logins and two-factor authentication, running a firewall and keeping tested backups. We provide monitoring and protection through our hosting and security services.
Example
Visitors to a hacked site are quietly redirected to a spam page, and Google flags the site as dangerous.
