What is On-Page SEO?
On-page SEO is everything you control on a page that helps it rank: titles, headings, copy, images, links and structure.
On-page SEO covers the elements of a single web page that affect how search engines understand it and how visitors experience it. These include the title tag, meta description, headings, body copy, image alt text, internal links and the page's address.
Each page should target one main topic and answer the searcher's question clearly. Using the main phrase in the right places, along with related terms, tells search engines what the page is about. Stuffing keywords, however, reads badly and can hurt.
On-page work is the part of SEO fully in your hands, and it is often where quick gains are found, especially on older sites with vague titles or thin pages. We optimize pages with a clear target, strong content and a clean structure, and tie it to technical and off-site work.
Example
A page about kitchen remodeling gets a clear title, a matching headline, helpful sections and links to related project pages.
