What is Progressive Web App?
Also called: PWA
A progressive web app is a website that behaves like an app: it can be added to a phone's home screen, load quickly and sometimes work offline.
A progressive web app, or PWA, is a website built with extra capabilities so it feels like a native app. Visitors can add it to their home screen, open it full screen, and in some cases use parts of it offline or receive notifications.
For a business, a PWA can be a way to offer an app-like experience without building and maintaining separate iPhone and Android apps or going through app store approval. It works from one codebase and updates for everyone at once.
PWAs have limits. Some device features are restricted on certain platforms, and not every project needs one. They fit best for tools people use repeatedly, like staff apps or customer portals. We build PWAs when the app-like experience is worth it.
Example
Field technicians add your job management site to their phone's home screen and open it like any other app.
