What is Sales Funnel?
Also called: marketing funnel
A sales funnel maps the steps a person takes from first hearing about you to becoming a customer, showing where you win and lose them.
A sales funnel is a model of the customer journey. It is wide at the top, where many people first learn about you, and narrows as fewer move on to consider you, contact you and finally buy. Common stages are awareness, interest, decision and action.
Thinking in funnel stages helps you find where the leaks are. Lots of traffic but few inquiries points to a problem on your pages. Plenty of inquiries but few sales points to follow-up or pricing. Each problem has a different fix, and guessing wastes money.
Real journeys are messier than a neat funnel, and people move back and forth. Still, the model is useful for matching content to where someone is. We set up tracking and follow-up so you can see how people move through your own funnel.
Example
A visitor reads a blog post, downloads a checklist, receives follow-up emails and finally books a consultation.
