Web Development

What is Webhook?

A webhook is an automatic message one system sends to another the moment something happens, like a new order, so tools stay in sync instantly.

A webhook is a way for one application to notify another as soon as an event occurs. When a customer pays, a form is submitted or a booking is canceled, the first system sends a small message to a web address you set up, and the second system acts on it.

It is the difference between asking constantly 'anything new?' and being told right away. Webhooks make connected tools feel instant and reduce wasted checking. They power things like sending a receipt, creating a CRM record or notifying your team in a chat.

Webhooks must be built to be reliable and secure. They need to verify the message really came from the expected sender and handle failures without losing events. We use webhooks in integrations so your systems stay current without manual steps.

Example
When a customer's payment goes through, a webhook tells your job system to mark the invoice paid and schedule the work.
