What is Conversion Rate Optimization?
Also called: CRO
Conversion rate optimization is the ongoing work of improving your site so a higher share of visitors call, book or buy, without needing more traffic.
Conversion rate optimization, or CRO, is the practice of studying how visitors behave on your site and making changes that get more of them to act. The changes can be small, like a clearer button, or larger, like rewriting a page or simplifying a form.
CRO is attractive because it multiplies what you already spend. If your ads or search rankings bring visitors but few become leads, more traffic only increases the waste. Fixing the leak usually pays back faster than buying more clicks.
Good CRO starts with evidence rather than guesses. That means reviewing analytics, watching how people move around the page, collecting feedback and running tests. We treat it as a steady habit, making a few well-chosen improvements at a time and measuring the result.
Example
A contractor shortens its estimate form from ten fields to four and sees more completed requests from the same visitors.
