What is Core Web Vitals?
Core Web Vitals are Google's three measures of how fast, responsive and stable your pages feel to real visitors, and they feed into search performance.
Core Web Vitals are a set of measurements Google uses to judge the experience of using a page. Largest Contentful Paint measures how quickly the main content appears. Interaction to Next Paint measures how fast the page responds when someone taps or clicks. Cumulative Layout Shift measures whether things jump around while the page loads.
They matter in two ways. Visitors leave slow or jumpy pages, which costs you leads. And Google includes page experience among the many signals it considers, so poor scores can be a disadvantage when you compete with a similar site. Content relevance still matters more, but speed can be the tiebreaker.
You can check your scores for free in Google's PageSpeed Insights and in Search Console, which show real-world data when your site has enough visitors. Fixes often involve image sizes, heavy scripts, hosting and how the site is built. We build sites to meet these targets from the start.
Example
A restaurant's menu page shifts down as an ad loads, so diners tap the wrong button, which is exactly what the layout shift measure catches.
